Testimonials
Franklin D Niver, DMD

"Our experience with the iCATthe past five years has been exceptional in terms of immediate and accurate information. We have been utilizing CT scans for our implant practice for over 20 years but the ability to have the information immediately at low levels of radiation and during the initial evaluation is remarkable. We were surprised that the patients readily accepted having a scan in our office and preferred that to not having to go to another site for it. They see it as a benefit and not as a conflict of interest. They are also very impressed at seeing what is involved in analyzing the scan and that is a positive towards case acceptance. |

"I used to order out at least five scans per week.
Now that I have the i-CAT®, I can perform more scans
right in my office, and I close more cases because there’s
no delay. Not only does the i-CAT® provide me with
the clearest images of any other tomogoraphy unit in the
industry, but the machine pays for itself with a mere
five scans per month. More importantly, the i-CAT®
gives me and my patients peace of mind about their procedure."

“The i-CAT® is a significant step forward in 3-D imaging.
It has added a whole new dimension to the diagnosis
and treatment-planning of our orthodontic patients.
We are exceptionally pleased with the image quality
and speed of capturing the images. After using 3-D imaging
in the office, it would be very challenging to go back
to treatment-planning with linear imaging alone. Due
to improved diagnostics, I feel 3-D imaging will quickly
become the standard of care in orthodontics." |

"The i-CAT® opens
your eyes to a third dimension. That's what it does.
It allows you to see what you haven't been able to see.
In my opinion, in the near future all surgeons will
have and need an i-CAT®. It not only opens the doctor’s
eyes, but it opens the patient’s eyes too. It's easy
to understand." |

"“I chose the Imaging Sciences i-CAT® because of
the quality of the images, ease of use, fast scan time,
fast processing time, small footprint, and the good reputation
of Imaging Sciences over many years. I have picked up
facial asymmetries with the 3-D facial scans, which made
me look closer at the CBCT data for the underlying causes.
Diagnosis is the key to treatment. If we know, beforehand,
the real 3-D anatomy (“the anatomic truth”) of our patient
and some of the limitations we face, then our treatment
plans can reflect this.” |

"“I personally feel
that Imaging Sciences has helped Orthodontic Specialists
of Green Bay take the quality of treatment to the highest
level. For diagnostics, the quality and clarity of the
3-D images with the i-CAT® are phenomenal, and there
is no guessing. What you see is what you get. The incorporation
of the i-CAT® with SureSmile® has also allowed us to
treat our patients with better, faster, and more accurate
treatment results. Without a doubt, 3-D imaging is the
future for all of dentistry!” " |

"I have had an i-CAT in my office for the last year
and a half and it has changed the way I place dental implants
and the way my patients view dental implants. I take a
scan now for every implant case and feel more confident
in the accuracy of my procedures. Now without it I feel
blindsided. Also my patients appreciate the added safety
and my concern over their well-being. The radiation exposure
is of the magnitude of an FMX and yet the information
yield is of a magnitude better. Even though this is an
“out-of-pocket” expense for patients, rarely
does a patient have an objection to doing a scan. From
a technical standpoint, particularly in immediate implant
cases anywhere in the mouth, in the mandibular symphysis,
above a nerve, below a sinus, the pre-op CBCT is very
important in the planning of the case. Owning my own machine
has shortened treatment time significantly and increased
case acceptance. My patients appreciate how the service
saves them time and money.“ |

“Ultimately, everything we do relates to the quality of
patient care we provide. Why would we not want to provide
the very best care for each and every patient? The i-CAT®
provides the clinician with almost instantaneous and extremely
accurate data on TM joints, airways, and the position
of roots within the alveolar arch; screens for pathology;
provides the most accurate information on skeletal relationships;
and much more. You can collimate your scans to view specific
areas, or you can scan the entire head. The ease of use
and the versatility of this unit make it an indispensable
part of my orthodontic practice.” |
